Green Man Takes On Broadway for Holly King Pre-Release

HollyKing_FBPromo-01Rich and decadent, Green Man Brewery’s special holiday release Holly King is back for 2015.  This celebrated Holiday Ale is aged in barrels and carefully blended to create warm bourbon notes and tasty hints of toffee, vanilla, and tobacco.  With a score of 95 on ratebeer.com, Holly King is one of Green Man’s most sought-after offerings.

For the third release of this beer, Green Man has commissioned local artist to design the label art. This ornate variation of the Green Man logo depicts one of the many interpretations of the Green Man in folklore. Holly King will be available in a new format this year; 12 oz. bottles in 4 packs.

There will be a pre-release art event at the Satellite Gallery, 55 Broadway in Downtown Asheville on December 3rd from 5-7 pm. The opportunity to purchase a signed archival print of the label art, a taste of 2015 Holly King, artwork on display, and light snacks will be enjoyed at the event.

From 6-8 pm Bruisin’ Ales bottle shop, across the street from the Satellite Gallery at 66 Broadway, will be hosting a tasting of Green Man’s line up. The official bottle release for Holly King is on December 4th at retail outlets where great beer is sold.

Green Man Expands Distribution to Entire State of Florida

Green Man Brewery is expanding its distribution South once again, taking on the entire state of Florida.  The craft beer pioneer in Asheville, North Carolina has been steadily ramping up distribution since its second expansion in 2012, starting with North Carolina and spreading out to Tennessee and South Carolina.  Green Man is in the process of opening up the entire state, and Green Man beer will be found statewide in the beginning of December.

The Brewer’s Association ranks Florida as 8th in the country for economic impact of craft beer, which is an indication of it’s status as an emerging craft beer state.  Tampa has also been named second best beer town in the country by USA Today.   Green Man has developed an eager fan base in the state due to the high crossover of tourism between Florida in Asheville, and the brewery’s owner has strong roots in the state.

“We have received a great deal of enthusiasm for our beer from Florida, and our distribution strategy is to follow where the love is,” explains Dennis Thies, owner. “It is a great homecoming for me.  We are excited to deliver what our fans have been asking for, and just in time for the holidays.”

Green Man year round flagships IPA, ESB, and Porter will be available initially throughout the entire state of Florida, in 12 oz. bottle six packs and on draft.

Green Man IPA:  Green Man India Pale Ale is delectably hoppy with a properly balanced body. Generous hop additions give it a wonderful bitterness and pleasant floral nose, while a combination of traditional British malts creates a rich, satisfying flavor and alluring copper color.

Green Man ESB:  A malty amber ale boasting rich toasted and caramel flavors, Green Man ESB is an award-winning signature brew. A blend of authentic British malts and hops creates a nutty aroma, full body, and a sweet finish. Prepare yourself for a truly exceptional interpretation of a traditional English style.

Green Man Porter: Dark, full-bodied, and rich in flavor, Green Man Porter is wonderfully easy to drink. It offers a creamy, smooth mouthfeel and finishes with distinctive chocolate notes. This traditionally crafted, award-winning British-style Porter enjoys a legendary following.

Look out for Green Man Legendary Ales starting the first week of December, in bottle shops, bars, and restaurants.  Promotional events, tastings, and tap takeovers will be taking place throughout the state during the first three weeks in December.
